President’s Remarks
At the time of writing this there has only been two weeks since the August meeting and I have been away for one of those so there isn’t much to be said.
The adhoc Tuesday bowlers, continues to be a success (thank you from everyone Len for organising this). Last Tuesday saw 14 of us bowling in beautiful sunshine with seven of us having lunch in The Clough after bowls.
The final crown green bowls competition is on Tuesday 16th September when the winner of the Cup will be decided.
The Musical Evening with FREE BUFFET is on Thursday 18th September; don’t forget to reserve your place at Wednesdays meeting and to bring your music with you.
I wish everyone going on the Weston S Mare holiday on 21st September a safe journey and a super time.
Due to holidays there is no walk to report on this month. October’s walk will be on the 1st October and around Tittersworth Reservoir with lunch at The Lazy Trout.
Graham Tunnicliff
The speaker today is Mr G. Williams who will talk to us about the History and Making of Walking Sticks.
