We had an enjoyable walk this month around Apedale Country Park. Five members attended and the walk took about 2 hours followed by lunch at the Visitor Centre Café in the park during which the museum guide took it upon himself to impress us with his knowledge of the parks industrial past.
During the walk we stopped at the Energy Centre, a new building which incorporates various renewable energy technologies and the latest energy saving building techniques in its operation and construction. One of the Staffordshire County Rangers chatted to us here about the park and the building which was very interesting.
