- Assist charitable organisations such as Rotary.
- Events which the club has helped are the Bonfire Night at Clough Hall Park, Kidsgrove and the annual Santa Claus collection in Kidsgrove.
- Social events have included coach outings, holidays, music evenings, indoor and outdoor bowls, golf and regular walks.
- Each month the club publishes to its members a newsletter containing matters of interest, stories, quizzes, puzzles and calendar of coming events.
