PRESIDENT’S REMARKS January 2020
Gentlemen, good morning and welcome to our first meeting of the New Year. I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas and New Year holiday with family and friends
On behalf of our Probus club I sent Christmas cards to the wives of past members, members who have left the club for health reasons and members who have left the area. I thanked Chris Brough our newsletter editor for his work in printing the Probus logo and message on the cards.
I was pleased to see so many members, wives/partners and friends at our Christmas lunch at The Manor Hotel in Alsager enjoying themselves. Many thanks to the members who organised the event which was very pleasant and successful.
Finally, may I remind those of you who will be attending the Probus Club lunch at The Legs Of Man pub on 19th of February to let me have your menu choices today as there is a limit of 30 guests at the restaurant, and I also need to send a pre-order list to the restaurant manager.

All Saints’ Church Scholar Green is open again during the Snowdrop Walks at Rode Hall, from Saturday 1st February to Sunday 1st March 12.30pm to 4.00pm, excluding Mondays. Many members have visited and enjoyed the refreshments and the beautiful displays of Snowdrops and other seasonal flowers. Thank you for your support in the past, we look forward to seeing you again this year.

Congratulations to all Santa’s helpers, we raised £347.97 for local charities.
Thanks to you all, it was a very cold day but the good people of Kidsgrove made it all worthwhile.
Our next Probus walk will be to Rudyard Lake on Wednesday February 5th. Meet at usual time, usual place in Kidsgrove.
