May 2014

President’s Remarks

Not a great deal to report this month. The weather has been hot and sunny so that the walk and outside bowls at Clough Hall and the lunches after were both well attended.

Nominations for next year’s officers were invited at the last meeting and will be presented and voted for at the May meeting.

Sadly the health of one or two of our members is deteriorating and they are absent from our meetings. We do remember them as regular and active members of the club.

Ken Williamson

The Speaker today is– Mr A. Platt, MBE who will talk to us about Prison Life.

Probus Group Photograph

Peter Lowe has reported that the group photograph taken last month prior to the meeting did not turn out too well and was not up to his usual standard. Another attempt will be made again when suitable.
