This months walk continued our excursion along the Churnet Valley commencing at the Boat Inn which was where we completed our September walk. It is not possible to have a circular walk on this stage so it was a matter of heading in the direction of Frogall then returning on the same path. This didn’t stop one of our group taking a closer look at the muddy paths. This section of the waterway combines the river Churnet and the Cauldron Canal and can be quite hazardous for boats due to the variable water levels.Lunch was taken at the Boat Inn (which is now for sale).Novembers walk will go to Westport Lake from Bathpool. This walk was attempted a couple of years ago but was abandoned because of torrential rain, lets hope for a better outcome this time.
